"Welcome Smashaholics, to round one-five of the Devious Duel tournament!" Pyro opened.  "Drawing things down here in the final matches of the first round, as we revisit Shadow Moses Island.  Quazy Danny-Mac takes on Robbie Hunt today.  I'm Pyro James, and returning from his own fight, is Masta Koopp.  Masta, how's that victory feel?"

"I'unno, you tell me, 'cap, heheh!"  The two hosts hi-fived each other.  "With both of us advancing to the next round, things could get interesting!"

"Indeed!  Alright, let's get down to business.  Quazy Danny-Mac, or just 'Quaz' for the purposes of today's match, is a red-and-yellow dragon anthro, hailing from a small island far in the ocean, harnessing electric and wind abilities!  Fast and light, we should see a good fight from Quaz."

"Robbie Hunt, his opponent today, is a shepherd mutt anthro from a future world called Terragaia.  Though rather inexperienced in actual combat, Robbie possesses a crystal sword, capable of using opponents' powers!"

"Let's head down to the arena."  When the cameras were set, a bolt of lightning struck the stage to the left, and the blinding flash left Quaz in its wake.  Robbie ran into position, unsheathing his crystal sword.  "Um, ok...let's do this."

"Three...two...one...GO!"

Quaz was first to make a move, closing the distance necessary to attack Robbie with a projectile.  When he was in range, Quaz let loose a jolt of electrical energy that traveled through the air towards Robbie.  Unprepared for the attack, Robbie was electrocuted by the projectile.

Quaz attempted a repeat of the attack -- however, Robbie sidestepped the attack, then rushed at Quaz, swiping at him with the sword for damage.  Following the attack, Robbie stuck his paw out, seeming to absorb energy from Quaz.  Once he was finished, he held a slight aura around his paw.

"Did he just take something from Quaz?" Masta asked.  Before anyone could answer the question, Robbie backed up a few paces, and unleashed a bolt of lightning from the crystal sword, zapping Quaz and making him fal to the ground.  "Oh, wow!  So this is the power stealing we've read about!"

From the ground, Quaz tripped Robbie with his tail.  The roles were reversed; now Robbie was down, with Quaz standing over him.  Quaz tried to kick Robbie, but the shepherd rolled away and got back to his feet.

Quaz took out a boomerang, throwing it at Robbie.  It hit on target, doing no damage but stunning him.  Quaz utilized the time to catch his boomerang, then get up close, and smash-attack, this time using his boomerang to melee Robbie, a sort of electrical current emanating as he hit Robbie with the weapon.

"Ouch!" Masta said.  "Score is 32% to 23%, still anyone's game!"

The attack made Robbie fly into the right side wall of the stage, breaking it down.  Robbie stood up from amidst the rubble, brushing himself off.

Quaz took the moment to make a peace sign at the crowd, which cheered him on -- but it was a mistake.  A home-run bat had landed by Robbie as he broke the wall, and he readily picked it up, charging at Quaz.  The dragon turned just in time to catch the bat aside his head, thrown by Robbie.  "Auff!"  Quaz was thrown back, and Robbie rushed forward, picking up the bat again.

"That could be making a huge difference in this match!" Pyro said, as Robbie advanced again.  Closing the gap, he wound up for a home-run swing, which Quaz jumped over in the nick of time.

"Stop movin' around so I can cream ya!" said Robbie, who took another swing, this time higher -- and Quaz smartly ducked under it, countering with another tail tripping.  In a surprise event, Robbie swung the bat from his prone position, tripping Quaz too.

"Sure has been a lot of ground time this match, haha!" Masta said.  Quaz was the first to scramble to his feet, and when Robbie followed suit, he waited for Robbie to take another swing with the bat.  As predicted, Robbie wound up, and Quaz countered with a special attack.  A whirlwind formed at his feet, quickly shielding his entire body, and the winds threw Robbie far away, the bat flying from his paws.  The bat disappeared.

"Quaz just disarmed Robbie of that bat!  Back to basics!" Pyro announced.  Robbie got up, and came back at Quaz blindly, with a flurry of unskilled sword slashes.  Quaz was successful in dodging a few, but was struck with the last several swipes, racking up damage quickly.  Robbie then outstretched a paw, again stealing power from Quaz.  This time, the power was of wind.  Robbie quickly unleashed a blast of wind energy the second he stole it, blasting Quaz far back, close to the KO border.

Quaz quickly moved away from the border, and approached Robbie.  Quaz took out his boomerang again -- but before getting to throw it, Robbie attacked with a heavy overhead sword chop.  Quaz stuck his weapon up with both arms, successfully stopping the sword.  Once diverting the sword away from himself, he then threw the boomerang at Robbie, but Robbie ducked under the projectile.

Robbie went for a low swipe with the sword, and Quaz leaped over not only the move, but Robbie's head.  In mid-frontflip, Quaz caught his boomerang on return trip, and after landing behind Robbie, proceeded to charge a smash attack.

"Robbie, look out!" Masta shouted in excitement -- but it was common knowledge that the fighters can't hear the announcers.  When Robbie turned around, he took another melee boomerang attack to the face, and the smash knocked him far to the right, past the broken wall, and eventually, past the red KO border.  Robbie disappeared in a white explosion, like so many before him.

"My, what a superstar move by Quazy!  Some fancy boomerang work earns him a spot in round two of the tournament...a very well-fought match!"

"Get owned!" Quaz said, juggling his boomerang nonchalantly.

"Tune in for one of the last two matches of round one, where Mecha Fox takes on Dementia, at Lylat Cruise!"
